CASLT Teachers Research Grants
The CASLT offers five teacher research grants to foster concrete links between CASLT Initiatives and the professional realities and experiences of our members; to highlight the pedagogy and professional learning of our teacher members and provide models for others; and to provide models for new teachers and networks of professional practice by highlighting the resulting reports in our journals and on our website.

In 2010, two grants of $1,000.00 have been awarded to teacher teams. The research questions of the two successful grant proposals are:
- What is the efficacy of the use of a structured written and then spoken daily journal to affect spontaneous oral production of the target language as assessed by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR)? The research team is composed of Michelle Davies and Yvonne Kacy (Kelowna, BC);
- How will modifying the delivery model of grade 8 and 9 core French by integrating Intensive French strategies affect students’ ability to communicate in French? The research team is composed of Nella Amenta, Sandi Kostur and Greta Visscher (Burnaby, BC).
