ielanguages.com : Free French Listening Resources Podcast – This is part of a larger Web site offering various types of graded tutorials. The podcasts are usually thematic and in MP3 format accompanied by a transcript and cloze exercises. There are also a handful of short videos on the page.

French pronunciation guide – Forvo – This online tool allows you to listen to the pronunciation of close to 40,000 words or expressions, to search or to browse by categories. Registered users can also add new words thus requesting that a French speaker record its pronunciation.

Learn Canadian French  – A blog by a French Canadian for those who wish to “learn the French language of Quebec and French Canada through music, listening exercises and vocabulary lessons.”

Time 2 Learn – Most of the resources on this site are for paying subscribers, but there is a sample lesson on musical instruments and an e-book on the continents.  A trial subscription is also available. Lessons and e-books make use of audio files.

French Video Resources — These audio/video clips provide information and interviews about a variety of topics some of which are family, home, leisure, education, holidays, healthy living, work and careers. The user is then asked to answer questions pertaining to the clip.

Young Storyteller - This video is in French with captions in English.
