Gilles Côté has been working for The Canadian Association of Second Language Teachers since 2000, initially as the Webmaster and, since 2008, as the Web-based education officer. He has also been managing the LangCanada portal since 2005. He has been involved in education for over 33 years, teaching ESL in Quebec and FSL in BC. He was involved in educational resource development as a French Department Head and as a Religious Education Coordinator. He also taught computer studies to high school students. His interest in the Internet and related technologies as tools for teachers began in 1994 when he created his first Web page and it has grown over the years. He now owns and manages several education-related Web sites and a blog. Gilles provides a list of “Web Gems” for the CASLT monthly e-newsletters and writes the Tech Talk feature for Réflexions.He is constantly foraging through the WWW to add useful resources to both the CASLT and the LangCanada Web sites. |
